Office hours:

The clinic is open 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday.  If you need allergy shots or immunizations, please arrive no later than 25 minutes before closing time. The Newton Clinic is closed for regularly observed holidays.

Physician on call:

Newton Clinic provides a physician on-call 24 hours a daily for family practice and obstetrics. If you need to speak with a physician after business hours, please call 641-792-2112 for further instructions.  Please restrict these calls to urgent situations.

Walk-in appointments:

If you or your family needs to be seen for an acute care issue (a medical problem that began in the past 72 hours) we can often accomodate same day appointments, please call or text us at 641-792-2112 to be scheduled. Telephones are answered beginning at 7:30 a.m. on weekdays.  Although we reserve multiple slots daily for urgent same-day appointments, many of our providers have full schedules.  Thus, you may be offered an appointment with the on-call doctor or a provider who is not typically your normal provider.  We do offer walk-in clinics for urgent care daily from 7:30-8:45AM and 4:45 to 6pm.  

Calling for test results or medication refills:

You may be asked to leave a message for a nurse. Please eave a detailed message with your name, telephone number and (for medication refills) desired pharmacy. Your call will be returned by the end of the day. If you are requesting a refill, please call at least three days before your prescription runs out.

Insurance billing:

As a patient courtesy, we will file primary and secondary insurance.

Credit policy:

Patient balances should be paid in full within 30 days of receiving your invoice. Payments may be made online by clicking here. In the event that patient balances go unpaid for 90 days, medical care will be restricted to emergencies only. If you need to set up monthly payment arrangements, call us at 641-792-2112 and ask to speak to a collection representative.
